Our rustic restaurant and bar is located in the heart of the romantically idyllic location of ‘Quinta Da Saudade’ on the outskirts of Vale Parra, Guia. An original farmhouse built in the eighteenth century has been transformed without losing any of its magical charm into an intimate dining experience and a friendly and cosy bar. In the summer watch beautiful sunsets over the orange groves, and the horses go off on their evening hack or in winter cosy up to our romantic log fireplace in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
In our restaurant come and sample some of Portugal’s famous traditional cuisine with a modern Mediterranean twist. With starters of grilled tiger prawns in garlic, olive oil, white wine and the regions famous piri piri sauce or fried Camembert cheese with a homemade compote. For your main enjoy a fantastic dry age Rib-eye grilled steak with a ‘café de Paris’ sauce, seasonal vegetables and sautéed potatoes or choose from extensive fresh fish or other daily specials which reflect the amazing seasonal larder Portugal has to offer. Vegetarian and dietary options available on request, simply ask your friendly server or let us know when you book and we will create something to suit your palate. Finish your meal with one of our mouth watering homemade desserts, or a simply delicious palate cleansing panacotta.

Located at the Quinta Da Saudade is the riding school of ‘Centro Hipico Quinta Da Saudade’. This famous school offers both beginner and advanced horse riding lessons as well as fantastic group hacks. The exciting hacks give you a great opportunity to ride their beautiful horses under professional supervision through the Algarve’s most stunning beaches and landscapes. The hacks are suitable for beginners as young as five on leads to advance adults able to gallop alone along the endless sand dunes.
